Two faced Natural Eyes Palette

Recently I turned 20!! which is insane because I'm officially an adult meaning I have to do adult things hmmm. Regardless of that, I received this stunning make-up palette for my birthday which was too damn beautiful not to take pictures of. This is the Two Faced Natural Eyes palette that comes with instructions for three different looks a daytime, a classic and a fashion night time look. Today I tried the classic look because the three colours they recommend for this look were some of my favorites.

For this look, there are three shades Silk Teddy, Push-up, and Erotica. To achieve this look there are three simple steps:
1.) Blend Silk Teddy from the crease to brow.
2.) Press push up onto the lid.
3.) Blend erotica into the crease and lower lashes.
Feel free to recreate this look with similar shades as it a beautiful look for night time and an extra special glam day if you're in the mood. This is how it turned out:

I plan to recreate the other two looks in the palette so keep an eye out. Thanks heaps for reading mwah xx

Simple Vs Intense Christmas Makeup Looks

Simple Vs Intense Christmas Makeup Looks

Merry Christmas everyone!! Today I have a few different makeup looks you could potentially do for Christmas day. Everyone is different with their levels of makeup use, so theirs something for everyone. I have played around with different eye looks and lip colours. I hope this inspires you to have fun with your look this Christmas, try something you haven't before.  Enjoy :)

The Simple Look:

What I used:

With this first look I took my gold eyeliner by NYX and drew a line above my black eyeliner. I have also used a eye shadow called Day Gleam which is a pressed pigment by Mac.I used this eye shadow as a gold rim for my eyeliner. I simply took a small angled eye shadow brush and followed the line of my gold eyeliner to create a subtle gold rim around my eye. I also took the brush and went underneath my eye. This look isn't overly intense and allows you to play with bright Lipsticks without fear of looking over the top. The lip colour i went for is a cheaper lipstick by ACO it's a dark berry colour number 527. Personally i love this look as it's simple yet still resembles Christmas with the use of gold and red.

The Intense Looks:

What I Used:

This next look I kept the previous eye makeup and added a bit more sparkle. Today I have used the Tartlette in bloom palette which is so stunning. In the corner of the eye I have used a soft lighter colour called charmer. In the center of the eye I have used the shade funny girl which is a champagne colour. In the crease of the eye I have gone with the shade Firecracker which is a dark gold colour. All the shades I have gone with are sparkly which obviously feels like Christmas. For the first intense look I have used a Revlon Lipstick in the shade Rouge which is a matte lipcolor. This is a bright red, which is the most intense look I have done. This look I would used for a night time Christmas look as it is very bright for the day time.

The second intense look I simply changed the lip color to a berry shade by Mac called Flat Out Fabulous which is a Retro Matte shade. Simply by changing the lip colour i feel the entire look is different.

The Final look i changed the lip colour again to a baby pink by ACO in the number 506. This changed the whole look again and just simplifies it. If you love intense eyeshadow but simple lipstick this is the look for you. A nude lipcolour would also look really cool.

I hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you some inspiration to play around with lipcolors until you find the perfect look for you. Have a Merry Christmas everyone mwah xxx

Stocking Filler Ideas For Girls

The Christmas season is upon us, and if your anything like me then you has never been more disorganized for Christmas in your life!! This year I have been so busy, that gift buying has been on the back burner and if this sounds like you then I'm here to help. Sometimes finding the main gift is easier than finding those smaller cheaper gifts to fill up those stockings. Here I have a few gifts that I have brought to fill up those girls stockings under $20.00. Most of the items I have chosen are on the cheaper side with the most expensive being about $16.00. I hope this gives you some ideas for your mum, sister, friend or whoever you may be buying for this year.

For The Bath Lover:

The Comforter: The comforter is a body wash by Lush that smells amazing. I went for this instead of the snow fairy body wash because I thought this scent was more mature. I believe that this is the perfect stocking filler for any girl because who doesn't love lush.

Bath Bomb: This is the Comforter Bath bomb which has the same scent as the body wash. Of course you can pick any of the bath bombs that lush have,  I just wanted to be matching. Lush bring out some amazing Christmas bath bombs all a great price for a stocking filler or secret Santa gift.

For The Makeup Lover:

NYX Roll-On Eyeshadow: This is the NYX roll on shimmer eye shadow in the shade Walnut Noix. There are heaps of different shades to choose from so theres something for everyone. I brought this for $12.00.

NYX Matte Lipgloss: This is the NYX soft matte lip cream number SMLC04 which is a nude brown shade. This lip cream only cost about $16.00 and comes in a huge range of different shades.

Lip Smacker glosses: This is the Lip Smacker ice cream dreams lip collection. I thought this was perfect for someone a little younger that maybe doesn't wear makeup yet.

For The Candle Lover:

Grapefruit Candle: This candle is in the scent Grapefruit and only cost me $5.00 at Cotton on Body. This is the perfect extra stocking gift if you ask me. There are heaps of scents and different colors to choose from.

For The Glitter Lover:

Letter Key Ring: I picked this up from Cotton on Body for only $5.00. I thought it was the cutest thing ever and you can buy one for pretty much anyone. These key rings come in pink, glitter gold and glitter silver.

For The Stationary Obsessed:
Now I know I have recently done a post with this stationary in it, but I just couldn't resist putting it in my stocking fillers post because look it's just so darn cute.

Marble Journal: This journal only cost me $5.00 from Kmart, how adorable is it?

Marble Stapler: I picked this matching marble stapler up for the same price, if you know someone who loves stationary and marble patterning this is a winner.

Marble Weekly Planner: Everyone needs a weekly planner so why not get a cheap one that looks flipping cool.
I hope this gave you some ideas if you're in a last minute hurry to get some extra gifts. Please leave a comment suggesting your perfect shocking filler, good luck shopping ;) Mwah xx

Planning ahead

Planning ahead

We are entering into my favourite time of year, for some of your just as excited for the Christmas season as I am and for others, you're dreading the Christmas mayhem. I understand that along with the seasonal joy comes stress and never ending to-do lists, well this is where I come in. I want to talk about getting organized early, something a lot of us never seem to do. I'm a gold medalist procrastinator which is something I want to change. I want to start the actual adulting early and not just wait around for the New Year to attack those never ending goals. There is so much hype around New Year's resolutions, which to me just made them that much more stressful. Why can't we start our resolutions early? Get a head start on everyone else, so when the New Year does roll around we can be fully prepared and just relax.

Benefits of planning ahead :

Less stress:
Knowing you have done everything you need to before Christmas makes things a lot less stressful. Running errands in advance means you can take your time when you do them and not stress while rushing around.

Be in the moment:
As humans, we are always thinking about where we are heading next and what we are doing later rather than fully enjoying moments with no thoughts to the future. Setting aside a day or two to get those plans big or small in check allows you to emerge in moments as they happen.

Avoid missing important things:
Planning for things means you won't miss out anything important. Making summer plans in advance allows you to be fully prepared therefore you can enjoy yourself more. You won't miss hand in's for specific dates and therefore feel more accomplished.

Achieve results:
Planning ahead and tracking your process can allow you to achieve the results that you are striving to meet. This one is mainly for those personal goals. When you plan to exercise and track your process, you're more likely to continue and get to where you want to be.

Planning ahead can be a lot harder than it seems especially around this time of year but trust me it will make heading into 2017 a lot smoother, that's my aim. Start those Christmas wish lists early, buy a notepad and plan who you're buying for and what you want to buy, this way you can tick presents off your list once it's purchased and wrapped. Buy your gifts early and wrap them with no stress. Applications for courses and University education is always something I put off because I either don't want to do it or dread the amount of work it's going to be. Applications for things is a job that the sooner you do it, the more relieved you're going to be. Now to those pesky goals that creep up at this time of year, start planning for them any way you can. I, for example, when out and brought a bunch of new pretty but also cheap stationery to drive me towards the planning process. If you have fitness goals or personal goals, start working towards them now slowly so when the New Year gets here you’re already on your way, and it seems a little less scary. I brought myself a new diary to keep track of everything I'm doing, and I can also write down thoughts and feelings to track my happiness towards my goals. I also picked up a planner which I can write down things to do each day or targets to hit, allowing me to visualize everything. If you're interested in where I picked up this stationary, it was from Kmart (of course) and all together it only cost me $13.00 NZD which is a small price to pay to get you on your way. Hope this post inspired you a little to get on top of things, for a stress-free enjoyable Christmas season. Thanks for reading Mwah x.

Trying Something New

Trying Something New
Tuesday, 23 August 2016
Read post
I recently watched a you tube video about trying 5 new things. This video gave me a boost of inspiration to try and add new and exciting things into my everyday life. Often we become stagnant as our daily routines drag out and we get stuck in a cycle of the same things day after day. Holidays to exotic places seem to be the times where I feel most excited and adventurous but the reality is we can't always take holidays to spice up our lives. There will always be exciting places right around the corner and new things in our town or cities that we maybe haven't experienced before. This video gave me an idea to push myself to do things I would normally say 'no' to and force myself to go the extra mile to find something within nothing. We often become too reliant on other people to make life what it is and never truly appreciate what life can be like in moments when we are alone. I'm not suggesting never hanging out with friends we need people in life for love and support but we also need to be gutsy enough to love and support ourselves in order to go out and do things we want to do.This past week I put myself to the test to try out new things big or small.I hope you get some inspiration out of the new things that I tried this past week and challenge yourself.

1) Early morning run
I started my challenge on Saturday with an early rise and walk/ run on the beach. This sounds like an easy task and nothing new, but I usually exercise at home in our spare room so I'm not seen sweaty and gross in public. When I go on Holiday this is something I do a lot as I won't know anyone and the fresh morning air wakes me up in a happy mood.I have never done this close to home before and with zero makeup. The change in exercise was fun and the view was stunning. Morning sea spray and a light drizzle of rain really is a soothing feeling. This is something I definitely want to do more often.

2) Night on the town
I'm not great when it comes to socializing in a group filled with new people, I really have to push myself to say yes to these situations. My friend had a party and it involved drinking and going to clubs in town with a group of about 20 people that I didn't know. It was something I would usually say no to or make an excuse that I couldn't go, but due to this challenge I decided to make myself go. In the end I did have a good time and I talked to new people. Partying all the time may not be my thing but this experience taught me that I can put myself in those situations and enjoy myself.

3) Karaoke Night
Recently I got together with a few new friends from Uni and went out for Karaoke. I have never done Karaoke in my life and was apprehensive at first due to potentially embarrassing myself.I ended up having the best time ever and that's an understatement. With the right group of people that you feel comfortable with it can be a blast. It's a great idea for a night out as you can hire a room and just sing and dance like crazy with your friends. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try something new and just have a good time especially if your in a bit of a rut.

4) Bush walk
Speaking of being in a rut recently I have been in a fitness rut, with assignments going on and life taking over finding time and energy to exercise is a no go. If your like me the longer you go with no exercise the less motivation you have and a few days turns into a week. I decided to push myself and go with my family on a new bush walk. A bush walk may sound easy but boy are you wrong this walk was up hill with heaps of steps. It took about two and a half hours. Afterwards I felt fitter than I thought I was and more excited to exercise at home. Going somewhere new to exercise is always refreshing and motivating, it also adds excitement because its out of the ordinary.

5) Explore your city
Sometimes the best way to do something new is to simply explore the city you live in, find a new store or a new restaurant to venture off to. This week a few friends and I managed to walk around the city we live in and find a cute little chocolate shop that was selling milkshakes, cupcakes, cookies you name it. We each brought a drink, took a few pictures and wandered around in the sun with our drinks in hand. This may seem so simple yet it's one of my favorite NEW things I did on this list.

I hope this post gave you some inspiration into the New and exciting things you could do during your week to make life more interesting. Some of the things I did were challenging and pushed me socially but in the end I was better off for it. Doing new things is hard, but start off small and you will notice your happiness level increase and your motivation. If you managed to read the whole thing you are a true legend, please leave me a comment with something challenging and new you have done recently lets inspire each other. Until next time thanks for reading mwah x

Op shop gems

Op shop gems
Wednesday, 6 July 2016
Read post
This past weekend I took a trip to a few Op shops around town rather than hitting some of the high-end stores that I usually shop at. I've always been a fan of op shopping, as my mum would take me as a kid. I'm now a student who needs to save money like crazy, so I thought I'd see what things I could find in the op shops. I picked up a few home decor and entertainment items for a bargain price which made me super excited. I thought I would share it with you guys to show you that Op shopping can be a lot of fun.

Wall Canvas Prints:

If you didn't know by now I'm a little obsessed with room decor and managed to find some really cool black and white canvas prints for my bedroom. This first one is my favourite, it looks like a little beetle car (Which I also want!) in the streets of Paris, I'm not exactly sure that's what it is but I love it anyway and it fits into the theme of my room perfectly. This print was only $5.00 NZD, which I managed to find in the corner of the store behind a bunch of other pictures and frames so make sure you really look when op shopping as that's when you manage to find some hidden gems.

This next one looks a bit more like a Tumblr blog but nether the less I love it. Again this print is on a canvas in black and white, which only cost me $6.00 NZD. This canvas is made up of three pictures, a cute quote, round sunglasses and city landscapes. I found this in a different store which was in the furniture section.

I am slightly too obsessed with Audrey Hepburn so anything I find even remotely to do with her I feel a sudden urge to buy. You can imagine my excitement when I found this mirror frame of the classic breakfast at tiffany's picture. This only cost me $5.00 NZD as well, so all up decorating my room was a lot cheaper than you would originally think. In my opinion, people won't even tell I purchased these in an Op shop.

Mason Jar

Mason Jars have quickly become a craze in the past few years and home decor stores seem to be able to sell them at a high price. I found about five of the same looking mason jars in one op shop which were being sold for only $1.00 NZD each!!! that's crazy. There is so many fun ways to use mason jars in your room and throughout the house. I only brought one but I have some ideas you could use your mason jar for. You can use it as a candle holder, to store makeup brushes and lipsticks, As a cup to serve drinks in or my favourite you can buy some small cheap fairy lights and wind them inside the jar to create a cute light decoration for your room.

I love watching Tv series and DVDs but I hardly ever buy them because it's usually too expensive and there's so many other ways to watch things online now. I found series one, three, four, five and six of 'Sex In The City' for only $5.00 each. At this price I couldn't say no, and with being on a Uni break I couldn't think of anything better than sitting on my couch binge watching the girliest series out there. You don't have to go searching for complete sets of Tv shows, but keep and eye out Op shops have really good Dvds and you might come across one of your favourite films. Sometimes owning your favourite film of Tv series on Dvd is much better than watching something on your computer and relying on internet acess.

That's all for this post I hope it opened up your mind to giving Op shopping a go as you may come across some hidden gems at a bargin price. Please leave a comment and thanks for reading mwah xx

Healthy Chocolate Banana Treats

Healthy Chocolate Banana Treats
Wednesday, 29 June 2016
Read post

My favourite healthy treat at the moment are these frozen chocolate covered banana bites, they are a perfect sweet pick me up during the day and are quick and easy to make.

You will need:
1/2 a block of 75% dark chocolate (You can go darker or lighter if you prefer)
1 Banana
Desiccated or shredded coconut
A microwave safe bowl
A spoon
Baking paper and tray

1) Start by slicing the banana into bite size pieces you can go thick or thin depending on preference.
2) Chop up 1/2 your block of dark chocolate I used Whittaker's 75% chocolate as dark chocolate is better for you and I really like dark chocolate you can always use 50% if your not a big fan of dark chocolate.
3) Place your chocolate into a bowl and microwave in 20 second lots taking it out and stirring until smooth.
4) Once chocolate is smooth add in some coconut however much you like and stir in. This is the fun part you can actually add anything you like, I've tried it with chopped up cashew nuts, pistachios whatever you like really have fun with it.
5) Get a tray and line it with baking paper. Using your spoon place a slice of banana into the chocolate and cover. Once done place onto the tray and repeat until you have done the whole banana.
6) Place the tray in the freezer and leave them for about an hour maybe less until you serve. These treats keep nicely in the freezer for a few days so you can grab one or two on the go for a pickup.

I hope you liked that quick recipe and give it ago. This recipe is super fun as you can mix up different flavours. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave a comment mwah xx
